MOSCHOPOLIS WINERY



Moschopolis Winery in Thessaloniki is the recent creation of  Dr. Giorgos Germanis, who until now has been known as a great viticulturist and wine consultant, and reflects the knowledge and experience of all these years. Leaving the vine to express and applying pioneering methods, ensures excellent quality and ideal fruit concentration, with minimal but crucial intervention, native yeasts and bottling without filtering. At present, Moschopolis Winery is managing about 11 hectares of vineyards with the following grape varieties: Mavrotragano, Xinomavro, Syrah, Pinot Noir, Assyrtiko and Malagousia. At all stages of the production process, advanced scientific methods are used, both in viticulture, where innovative vine support systems are implemented, for better protection of plants against diseases and other harmful factors, as well as in the winemaking process. The winemaking philosophy of the Winery is that of the production of terroir wines, which express the special characteristics of the area, applying the practice of low oenological interventions.
